Bayside Babies offers overnight newborn care, sleep training, and car seat consultations throughout the postpartum period and beyond in Orange County, CA. We believe that proper attachment and closeness are crucial to development but that feeding choice and healthy sleep hygiene from birth do not interfere. Parents should feel confident and secure in their choices, and we pride ourselves heavily on providing our clients with in-home, compassionate care and education; and hands-on practice so that new parents feel empowered in their new roles.
Newborn Care Specialists provide non-judgmental, evidence based education and support to empower parents within their new role, and have experience working with various family dynamics. Hiring postpartum support and newborn care helps ease the sleep deprivation and stresses of the many transitions that come with having a new baby over the first several months. As a sleep based, family centered care provider I will guide and support you as we work through the creation and implementation of a healthy routine that allows for a happy, healthy, well-rested baby and family.
Did you know that an estimated 90% of car seats are not being used correctly in Orange County? Work with a nationally certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) to ensure that your precious cargo is riding as safely as possible. We'll go over proper installation and harnessing, removal and storage, traveling with carseats, vehicle and seat position compatibility, child restraint laws, projectile education, and more! Every client is provided step-by-step instruction and hands-on guidance. We also offer private classes for expecting, first time parents.
We will begin offering virtual sleep consulting services by early September. Elise is currently working on her Pediatric Sleep Consultant certification through The Cradle Coach Academy, which is an approved course in order to gain membership to the Association of Professional Sleep Consultants (APSC). Once completed, she will be fully qualified to work with children from 4 months to 5 years old. She will be equipped with different strategies and a wealth of knowledge so that she can tailor her services to each family.

About The Owner
Elise McNamara is a sleep based, family centered Newborn Care Specialist and Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) serving families throughout Orange County, CA. She first started working with infants and children in 2007 as a swim instructor, which turned into nannying professionally in 2009, and then moving into the birth and postpartum space while pregnant with her second baby in 2018. She has experience working with twins, preemies, infants with severe reflux, and parents with postpartum mood disorders.
